**NEW ALBUM** The Ecstasy of Becoming by Flying Pooka!

Juno-winning pianist and composer Florian Hoefner and interdisciplinary wind and vocal improviser Dani Oore have joined forces for their NEW album, The Ecstasy of Becoming.

The album, born from an unexpected musical synergy discovered during the pandemic on the remote island of St. John's, features fully improvised music that seamlessly blends tonality and shifting harmonies. This collaboration, inspired by the Celtic and Northern European myth of the Flying Pooka, promises a transformative and ethereal musical journey, combining Oore's soulful saxophone and impassioned vocals with Hoefner's complex harmonies and soundscapes.

The album's release will be followed by Canada-wide tours, allowing audiences to experience the evolution of their sonic palette.

I am also smitten by the fact that he wrote both lyrics and music, and his use of sexy Latin beats and rhythms is another major drawing card for me.
